The Thief

Do you have one or more person like this in your life, like I do?

If so, let’s work together to get your power back!

When I say, “I get it”, this is what I mean:

"Thief"

They will make you the villain.

Rewrite the story so they never have to face the truth.

Because if they did, their fragile ego might not survive.

The things they accuse you of?

Are the very things they did to you.

Takers rarely become givers.

Users will drain you dry,

stealing your energy, your joy—

robbing everything you hold dear,

without ever laying a hand on you.

They will hollow you out, then walk away.

Owning their actions? Never.

That would mean defeat.

But they’ll act repentant—just enough

to lure you back into trust.

Trust?

They don’t believe in earning it.

Their entitlement wears a mask—

sometimes humble, sometimes holy.

They study you.

Learn what to say,

how to move,

what to be—

so you believe they have a tender heart.

But they also remember.

Your weaknesses, real or imagined.

They save them up,

holding them like weapons,

ready for the next time you feel safe.

And just when you start to heal,

when the light returns to your eyes,

they creep back in from the shadows,

stealing your hope,

pulling you under.

Devouring you, again.

They call themselves your biggest supporter

but press you down every chance they get.

Your joy is a threat.

Your strength, intolerable.

So they must make you smaller.

Weaker.

Less than.

They blame everyone.

Pity only themselves.

They need you to be the enemy,

so they can always be the victim.

They shapeshift,

chameleons in high places.

No one sees them for what they are—

except you.

And that is why they can never let you go.

I see you

Eva
